RA: Slammer

Took up post of On Tours in 2007 with Birthday Weekend trips arranged to Weymouth and Prestatyn. Then received the honour of being asked to be the permanent RA for C2H3 in Feb 2009 as Blobs was standing down.  Now this was a large role to fill, but I`m trying.  Let`s see if I`m here next year!.

Hash Cash: Kiltlifter

Started hashing 12 years ago in January 1998, first venue for me was the Merryfellow, Charlton Kings. Since then I have completed well over 500 runs.
As well as being a member of C2H3 I also hash with GOSH (girls only seasonal hash and Ebley Full Moon H3.
I have attended numerous Nash Hash events and travelled to Chiang Mai for the 2006 Interhash. In 2009 I was invited to join the Junta as Hash Cash.

On Tour: Suits You

I feel a bit of a latecomer to C2H3 having only hashed seriously (a bit of a contradiction that!) for roughly ten years since meeting Tealeaf although have known many local Hashers since 1993. The date and RV of my first hash is lost in the mists of time and possibly one too many pints of Real Ale to which I am known to be quite partial (C2H3 CAMRA Anorak!). As well as C2H3 I have hashed with Men Only H3 and Ebley Full Moon H3.  My hash name is courtesy of a birthday weekend cabaret act from a few years ago (you can see the likeness!) and I think that was the reason I became Haberdasher in 2004 - who could ask  for a more apt handle! Having messed that up due to poor spellin and over-fondness of measuring female Hashers for their shirts, I was "promoted" to the giddy heights of "On Tours" in 2009 - now, where did I put that map...!

On Sec
Robo

A UK hash veteran being struck with the infectious habit approaching 30 years ago. Brought many innovations to C2H3 over that time many of which survive today. The annual 'live hare' the 'torchlight series' the '' Choirmaster'' We lament the demise of the Beer Masters Challenge and the Relay Charity Run. Was fortunate to be involved during C2's purple patch being GM at the 5ooth run the Wild West Show and the pinnacle the UK's Nash Hash in 1993. To date the Human Sponge hasn't missed a single UK NH thats 15 of far – with beer drinking duties performed at Euro Hash and World Inter Hash. Whilst away from Junta duties - Robo took on the role as Edit Hare in chief and ran the Hash Hack magazine for thirteen years a hash magazine for the UK (and beyond) He also formed a bicycle section the CRANKS which still ride today. Brought back from obscurity he now amply fills the Honorary role of Secretary mainly for his ability to obtain a slate in various public house across the UK

Trail Master:
MGM

Although I`d been at Little Sai Wan in Hong Kong from 1969 to 72, my first contact with Hashing was in Cheltenham around March 1981, when a bunch of noisy people (one of whom was the late Smokeless Cole) disturbed Faghash`s and my tranquility by running past our house shouting their heads off.  A short while later Faghash learned from Mave the Rave (they were in the same “Young Wives” club!)  that it was “Hashing” and that we should come along. This we duly did, and on 15th June 1981 (Run Nr 18) we did our first run from the Kings Arms, Prestbury.  My initial reaction wasn`t good, as it just seemed to be a load of chaotic nonsense, with people running around like headless chickens shouting at each other!  But we went along the next week – and the next week – and the week after that – and here we are, some 27 years later – still thinking it`s chaotic nonsense but without which life would be a whole lot duller! We returned to Hong Kong in 1983-86, during which time I ran with LSWH3.  It was in HK that I bought my first video-camera – a so-called “compact” which weighed a ton!  The rest is history – all of it recorded on my various video-cameras ever since.  My hash name needs no explanation! Now in my 70`s, and with nigh on 1200 C2H3 runs under my belt, responsibility has come late in the day, but in June this year (2008) I took over the role of Trailmaster from Corporal Jones, who had meritoriously fulfilled it for the previous four years.

Hash Flash:
Paraletic

Hashing for 3 years. Hash flash so may well ask for volunteers to take the camera on the run to encourage the artistic temperament. Seldom
without a bit of port for medicinal purposes.

Hash records: Smiler   I started my ‘running’ days in Hong Kong in 1980 when I was persuaded to go along to a local hospital and run with a group of ‘heart recovery patients’ and friends. Fortunately, I was not one of these patients but certainly could have been after my first attempt at running! I mastered the ‘running’ (!!) and subsequently joined Little Sai Wan Hash House Harriers and had some great times – especially the ‘On Ins’ at the local Chinese restaurants – noisy, exciting, raucous occasions – nothing changes! Returning to UK and joining C2H3 in 1988 (re-united with ex-Hong Kongers). Have run in Cyprus and New Zealand and locally with GGs, Ebley Full Moon H3 and C2H3 Ladies newly-formed GOSH (Girls Only Seasonal Hash)
Took over Hash Wreckords in October 2000 – regular weekly hashers now number 65 – 70 (summer attendance up to 100) – we must be doing something right!
Enjoy writing bits of poetry, especially hash-orientated, and origins of Hah Handle – well yes, I do smile a lot!
